
Dr. Tsafnat brings together primary experience in computer science and AI with over a decade of academic research in digital health. He specializes in the intersection of AI and evidence based medicine including evidence production and clinical decision support. His career spans over 20 years of innovation in both academic research and entrepreneurial ventures. He is the inventor of the Piano research automation platform that grew out of the research of his Computable Evidence Lab at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
In 2018 Dr. Tsafnat founded Evidentli, his 10th start-up, to commercialise and continue innovating new AI and automation for evidence production. He also co-founded the International Collaboration for the Automation of Systematic Reviews (ICASR) which is in its 7th year of bringing together clinical researchers, computer scientists, systematic reviewers, editors and others from academia, government and industry.
Dr. Tsafnat is a Fellow of the Australia Institute of Digital Health, an Executive of ICASR and a senior member of the editorial board of the Journal of Biomedical Informatics.
